Make sure your doors are locked!

I just had someone try to get into our house via the front door. They tried hard to get the door open, but it was dead bolted. I jumped up from the couch and ran over to the door to look and to hit the alarm panic button, but they were gone. I did't have the nerve to unlock the door and look around.

Make sure your doors are locked people! We live in a good area, on a semi-busy well lit street, so it can happen anywhere!

Smitty I need you standing guard with your glock! Haha. We have a fire arm in the house but it's appriopriatly locked away so in a quick pinch like this it wouldn't have help.

Yeah, I was going to suggest a firearm for the house Eric, but you already have one...i believe every household needs one for the protection of the family. The closer it gets towards the holidays, the more burglaries, robberies, and home invasions occur.

I'm not a personal fan of them, but I have been trained so I know how to use it and shoot if needed. My husband is a Marine so of course we have to have one.

That's a shame...and joliet has tons of officers on duty, they should've caught him, but thankfully your dog did his job.

We had some hoodlums pull down our American flag today too... very strange what is going on. Lets just saw when the Marine came home to that he wasn't too happy.

And I will say it for you again. . . LOCK your DOORS people!! I've always been the one to be super careful. Even if I go out for 5 minutes across the street I'll lock my doors. Same goes with car for me!

I think you need to get a 125 lb German Shephard for protection. Ours is a big puss.... But I will tell you EVERY person that comes to the front door thinks twice about whether that is a good idea. No one has ever tried to get in forcefully....I am sure if one did... the dog would take care of business. If not...then the other two will lick them to death...

+1 So true!!! Glad nothing happened.. 1 yr my storage room from my apartment was broken into and almost took are gifts for Christmas. Lucky us we took the gifts upstairs to get them wrapped after the kids were sleeping (10pm). Someone was watching us unload the gifts from our car the same day. Talk about luck!!! So keep a good eye to your surroundings..
