Make sure your doors are locked!

Life sounds rough livin in the projects of Gilbert, IL....

Yeah, these eyes have seen a lot in the mean streets of South Central Gilberts,!

Actually, I used to work in law enforcement and I didn't see the shot ricochet as it happened but I did see a picture of a windshield after 2 officers shot at an approaching car. 1 had a 9mm Glock and the other a .40 Glock. One of the 9mm rounds didn't penetrate the windshield...

Taurus Judge with home defense .410. Now THAT is a nightstand piece. Won't shoot through your walls, but you can shoot 2 bad guys at once!

Glad you're safe!
Here's a tip, install motion detectors on your front/back porch lights. Also, even if you don't have an alarm, talk to somebody who does and see if they can give you some extra window stickers or an extra yard sign. I heard that intruders usually bypass homes with visible alarm decals and signs.
Or google it and buy something like this...http://www.ecrater.com/p/12526818/1-authentic-adt-yard-sign-4-double

Only if the signs and decals ARE NOT the actual alarm you have installed in your home. You do not want to announce to the burglar which system you have so he can study it before he breaks in.

Motion detecting lights and a dog barking are all you need. Doesn't even need to be a real dog, burglars aren't the smartest apples in the barrel.

it would be impossible for a burglar to study which system you have theres so many and now even with old signs and stickers who to say you havent upgraded i do it everyday . if you do have a alarm do your self a favor and get one with a radio or cell doesnt take a smart person top know that most of the old alarms used phone line which is good but that box on the outside of your house that says telephone network interface is pretty much a key into the house unless you have a cell just my 2 cents
