Matt's reef 2.0

Lol.... it would work awesome if it worked on my end.i have tried that a few times. I have to get on the laptop for that but my internet is down

Looks like you would need 116.67lbs for a 2" sand bed. Are you currently bare bottom?

I would not use the old sand. Start with the 120lbs of new for cycling period which I think will be the right amount.

Okay guys I need some help right now I have a hundred and twenty pounds of new sand for the tank, I am thinking about going with a deepersand bed this time around. I was wondering of I should clean up my old sand and reuse it or just go an buy more new sand what do you think I should do? I don't wanna make the wrong move on this one as I have never used old sand b4 I have always got new in the past

Well depends how u stored it . If u just threw in buckets its iffy if u put it in a container with pump its better then buying new live sand . What ever u do do not buy dry sand I learned that the hard way unless u dont mind your tank cycling for 6 months. Buy live sand cycle will be lot less just few things ive learned the hard way . The best sucess i had was with my old sand and keeping it live with flow

When I break down my old 375 gals tank , I gave away my lives sand some reefer here took around 8 buckets , but still a lot well I leave it in my back yard over winter with some water in it
after moved into new house I make decision to used old sand , I clean it very good then let its dry by the Sun then put in my current 210 gals tank ,all sand and rock in my 210 gals tank are not lives for sure it take some time to cycle the new tank but my tank is fine just got some red cyano some time. after fighting with red cyano I add some more lives sand in tanknso far all corals and fishs are happy from beginning . but lives sand and lives rock are always the best for your system lol.

Yea dr tims works good definitely helped get my ammonia down when i killed all my pods with prazi pro note to self dont do that any more lol. U will get that diatom crap on the sand for a little didnt last long maybe week or two now sand is fairly clean i also cycled the tank overstocked cause i didnt have enough qts open to house my fish properly. You should have a smoother transaction

Took a couple shots of 2 of my nems no filters just u set my radions
