Moving to VA in January - Sugestions please

I think the majority of your LS would do ok with the car ride. The only issue I see is getting your tank up, running and cycled. That's where the problem lies.

Sell the babies and setup shop...then buy new babies once your all settled. You'll be too busy unpacking and getting yourself acclimated. By the time you're settled, the tank should be cycled.

+1 if its only a Nuvo... Better to sell and start over.... Not worth headache. Maybe keep some nice pieces here with someone and have them ship to u once ur tank is cycled

True.. so bee it then ill setup the thread today evening

it sucks though, i just got my cherub angel that i almost waited for like 2 months :(

Oh man I didn't know you finally got it. I'd take it for you in a heartbeat to hold or keep if I didn't already have mine. That sucks I thought you gave up on getting one before you moved. I wonder if a LFS or maintenance company would hold and ship a fish for a fee?

Sheeeet! I have been finalizing my moving plan since I setup my tank here in the Windy City!

Purchase a small generator like the ones for camping. Secure it to the luggage rack of my Jeep run a short power cord inside the Jeep. Hookup a UPS battery backup to power a pump, heater and airstone inside a large tote filled 3/4 of the way with SW. I will keep livestock in containers that allow water to pass through but the critters isolated. This will also keep the LR/LS stable which will prevent a huge D.O. My Jeep even has the 110v outlets that I can use too. All with room to fit our puppies kennel.

Where ever the Navy needs me. Think we may try out the West coast for a bit. Since we started out in VA, moved to IL....why not just keep on moving west?
