my 210 peninsula

i was ready for that but 3 days no splash , i assume once the algae starts to fill in i will get some and will do the same . but for now no issues . also glad to say im getting some growth still early but good to see
 
Are you still using K1 in you sump?

Are both lights on the same side of the Algae Scrubber? What kind of lights are you using?
 
i am still running the k1 , lights are both on 1 side of screen , 2 regular 27k lightbulbs on timer. if the side thats getting light does well i will prob add 2 more lights to the back side .

Are you moving the K1 with air or just water flow? How much are you using?

Looks like your getting good growth on your scrubber. What are your Nitrate and PO4 levels at?
 
k1 chamber was designed to be fed from the full siphon drain from bean animal . so water drains from tank into filter sock (first chamber ) water then flows under over and into main section of the k1 chamber thats creates a circular flow with the k1 so they can bounce off each other scraping old bacteria off as it makes its way to outside of k1 . water exits bottom of k1 chamber into open style sump with skimmer heaters and now ats . i will be honest and state i do not test po4 and nitrate anymore because color chart tests never work for me . i cannot see which color it is and often lead me to make drastic changes when it wasnt really needed . i forgor how much k1 i started with , maybe a gallon ?

I know what your mean about those stupid color charts I cant tell the difference either. It all looks the same to me???
