My New Fish Growout System

My main interest in the hobby right now has been salwater fish fish breeding. I have been working with many different species of clownfish, royal grammas, pajama and bangaii cardinal fish. My old system is not not big enough so I am working on a new system. I just finished the stand and picked up the first half of the tanks. I am working on designing the filtration for the system right now. I need to finish up a few things before I start plumbing the system up. Eventually the plan is to have 12 20 gallon highs and 2 16 gallon black round tubs on the stand. I will split the the tanks into two systems on two different sumps. I orginally had hoped to use a 75 gallon for a sump on each side but I do not think it is going to fit right. I think I am going to have to make due with a 40 breeder for a sump on each side and possibly use some sort of a tub to house filtration media or macro algae to increase the water volume slighly. I will update my progress as I go. Here are a couple of quick pictures of me just fit checking everything. Any input or feedback would be appreciated.

yeah, move the plywood over to hit the main studs. It'll probably be enough support the way u have it but there is always chance of failure. did u use wood glue/nail/screw?

Thanks Guys I took the picture before I finished all the supports. There are new supports in the corner so the fasteners are not taking all the load.

Well I got all the plumbing and the sump built. I water tested the system and found one sump leak and one pvc fitting leaking. I am working on fixing those. Hopefully it will be filled with saltwater by the end of the week and I can move over the first few fish. I have seeded sponge filters ready and running on a couple of tanks of fish that I plan to move over. I will gradually add more to the system every couple of weeks.

The sump has three chambers. One for the skimmer, one for cheato and one for a K1 media filter. I am using a mag 18 for a return pump. I may back it down to a mag 12 but I am not sure yet.

Here are a couple of pictures.

So I got more of the system running tonight. The sump is pretty much done. The first chamber is the k1 media filter. It is powered with a maxijet 1200 power head and an air stone. The middle chamber is a fuge for cheato and the last chamber is for the skimmer. I went with the new Skimz DC pump SM163 skimmer. The pump is controllable with 6 different speeds. It should be interesting to see how well it works. I currently have the same skimmer with the normal AC pump so I can try to compare how the two work.

Here are some other pictures of the tanks that are setup and running.
