I got this Nuvo fusion 10-G on a trade here on CRS i hade tried biger tanks in the past but rushed in to it and it got a little over whelming and fustrataing so i decided to start it slow since I know very little about saltwater and corals and ALGAE!!! So this is a fresh start for me and here is what i got. its a Nuvo fusion 10 Gallon i set it up on 7/11/15

Stand= AKA wife's kitchen Island
Lighting= Kessil A150w-Ocean Blue
Pump= Maxi-jet 900
Power Head= Ecotech Mp10es
Nozzle=Spin Stream

Live Rock= 10lb Fiji
Sand= Carib Sea 10lb

Like i mentioned I'm very new to Saltwater/Reef aquariums so i would appreciate everyone's help and advice here on ChicagoReefs so that one day i may become a pro reefer like you :) I know there's not much I can do to this 10 gallon but I think it is a good start untill one day I'm ready and i have mastered the art of Saltwater/Reef and can move on to biger tank. thanks everyone for your advice and help in advance

Awesome start, good luck with the tank. I have run a 14 gallon biocube for about 4 years now, and just decided to upgrade to a 65 gallon acrylic. I will be starting the build thread soon. Slow and steady is the ticket though!

Looks good so far. Should be an easy tank to start off with. Be patient during the cycle, cap out at a couple fish and find some coral you like.

looks good! just make sure to add an ato to the system since evaporation is big on these tanks

Ok if you guys know someone selling one at a good price please let me know ill continue shearing

I have a jbj i was selling for 50$ but if u plan on using a aqualifter pump they dont work so good with jbj . The jbj has a time limiter for saftey so it don get stuck on and flood or crash your tank . And a aqulifter is so slow it always timed out if u use a biger pump like a maxi jet then it works great .

Nice start!

I have a JBJ ATO and the timer is an issue if you use the aqualifter. If you open that ATO up though you can adjust the timer to have it stay on up to about 14 mins. There is a video on BRS that shows how to do it. Just another option.
