R we looking at same pics lol. That was with the two aquablue specials i did switch those to two more blue+ As for ill effect just installed em today but did par readings and it did what i wanted them to do my corals in the high par with the leds have almost same par with the t5 but the sps that was in the to low of par range with leds now all sit in medium to high par levels which is most important for coral growth and color. Now for visual color my plan is to build two 40 inch strips of leds to bolt on the front and back of the fixture which should help with that factor . So im definitly not done fine tuning this this

Night and Day there, Love the Flurry clowns. I just picked up a pair myself.

Also bought a Led last weekend and had second thoughts gonna stick with the t5's for now. Everything is growing great and the colors are still killer. However some things do pop a bit better under LEDs.

So much brighter. T5's are awesome. Just look at those pics. U can really see how leds create the shadow effect and how dark the tank looks. With t5 almost all of those dark spots are gone. Joe I'll see when I can stop by to check it out.

Thanks guys imo grumpy was wrong and right lol. Now looking at the two pics i posted the t5 looks way better by far like most u said night and day but thats the problem with leds they dont take good pics . In person i had those leds tuned to the perfect imo color spectrum for a visually pleasing look and in person the leds look better . But how did grumpy know that gonna have to search my closets hmm lol. Any way tank is much brighter par levels r pretty much perfect which is a relief cause i went with none dimmable . The dimmable fixtures cost a arm and a nut probably two nuts once my wife found out while this one just cost a arm lol. Im gonna leave the bulb combo for now let corals adjust meanwhile i will order the heat sinks to build my led supplemental lights since i do miss the shimmer . I will get these tuned in soon and hopefully they do there job and the few brown sps i have gain color and the colorful ones stay same or get even better

As of right now its 4 blue plus and 2 purple plus its gonna change though. The fixture came with 2 aqua blue 2 blue + and 2 purple + but color was way to white so i have another 2 blue plus laying around from back in da day lol

Nice! I too "had to do something about the shadowing" of my LEDs...and "went back to T5s"....but kept the LEDs!

If you the ability to....check out how the combo works for you!
