I will be moving soon and plan to upgrade my nano to a 48 x 20 x 21 rimless tank (Red Sea Reefer 350). I can't decide on the lighting. I would like to mount these to the tank so no ceiling mounts. Should I go with:

A. Two Kessil A160we ($239 x 2 + $80 for goosenecks)
B. Two Kessil A360we ($399 x 2 + $80 for goosenecks)
C. Two AI Hydra 26 ($300 x 2 + $200 for EXT rails and mounts)

Welcome to the world of big tanks buddy :) you are gonna love it .. Where are you moving to ?

2 kessil 360wes would get my vote knowing my love for kessils

But if your idea is to do an sps dominant tank id say dont do kessils

2 hydra 26 wont be enough .. You might have to do 2 hydra 52s

This is all IMO

ATI Powermodule T5/LED fixture.....money.....

can even get away with a 36" long fixture if you wanted to...

my opinion is to use a hybrid fixture, or build your own lighting. though i have only "cheapy" cc-120 fixure over my current tank i see many switching back to T5 from led. even then big names. whatever your choice, do your homework its the big money with the big lights.

What he said! We love our kessil's brahhhhh

Kessel 360 would work but I don't think the gooseneck would be long enough to center and get proper height. I use 2 over my 48x24x16. I'm getting almost 200 par on bottom.

If those r the only choices of brands I would do the hydras 52. The kessil r nice but I'm not a fan of how they look. If money isn't an issue and u wanted to do LEDs only then just go for the radion pro. But if u don't mind t5 in there then yes, Craig just mentioned the best combo fixture out there.

It's up to u but if u can get LEDs just go for something that u can lower if it's to bright. Rather than buying a fixture that u won't get good par and coverage later.

Yea, dont think I want to go T5s mostly because of the cost and look. I know they are better for SPS with better overall coverage and color, but since I hate SPS anyways, I am ok with LEDs.

Are you using their gooseneck with the 90 degree adapter thing??

No, I forgot about those adapters. They may work then. I would suggest taking some measurements at about 10 inches off the water to be sure.
