New owner at global?

I kinda hope the new owner takes a bit better care of the livestock. Only had issues myself. And that water could stand a to be a bit less blue.... lol

It amazes me how vastly different the experiences have been with this place. I know 2 by me swear by them, and I've only had problems.

You have to quaratine their livestock. But they are healthy in that they have not spent much time in captivity. Most of their stock is literally days out of the ocean.

i just went there last week for his huge sale and i bought a couple things.. everything looks good to me no problems yet..

The water hasn't been "blue" in quite a while now. When was the last time you visited them? Perhaps it's time to make another trip up and re-evaluate your opinion.

The water was blue last week when I picked up a Juvenile Blue Ring Angelfish (Pomacanthus annularis).

I must be going on the "non-blue" weeks then, as I said, haven't seen "blue" water in there in a while now. The only tanks that look blue I have seen in recent history are the ones built from the dark blue tinted acrylic right as you enter the warehouse that they keep a small stock of fish and inverts in. Interesting indeed...

Before we acclimated it to my buddy's QT, the blue water was quite apparent. We bought shrimp and snails yesterday and there was still light blue in the main two rows in the middle of the place. The wall of tanks on the side that are usually so blue that you can't see in them were not blue this week, but they were super blue two weeks ago. We were trying to get a look at a purple tang they had in there and it was in bad shape.

So maybe the "blue" water weeks are when there is a higher percentage of less than ideal fish coming in their shipment and they are trying to protect the rest of the stock from potential exposure?

Not sure, but the 4 big saltwater tanks in the adjacent fishroom where there is freshwater had blue water. The cardinals, yellow tangs, flame angels and damsels are in those.

They use copper for parasite control. It is in the water all the time except for invert tanks. They probably use methylene blue for treating cyanide poisoning. It isnt a good sign.
