Oh the joys of having kids.

Just had my first. 3 day old boy. By switching off we have managed to get enough sleep throughout the day and night. I seem to get the 3 am shift where all he wants is to be held and walked. Can't even walk in place. He knows.

I have a 9 month old but his lazy(like me) lol sleeps most of the time wakes up plays around f***** s*** up and goes back to sleep to give his mom time to clean up lol

I'm glad my baby years are over with, I have 4 boys, and my youngest is now 6 yrs old. The others are 12, 11, and 8...my heart goes out to parents with young babies, trust me, I know the hardships. My secret was to keep the baby awake during the majority of the daytime, allowing them only a short nap earlier in the day, if they tried to doze off, I'd keep them awake by playing with them..so when the evening came around, the baby would be cranky and begging to sleep, and would sleep thru the night. I didn't do it when they were newborns, I waited until they were a few months old.

Its so hard to keep a 9 week d awake. Especially when I'm so tired myself. I got the Mirena IUD put in last week and since then I've been sooooo sleepy. Its weird. Tomorrow I plan on staying up after Brandon leaves the house at 6am. Because then I won't snuggle Coley till 12:30pm (happened today).

Hey not all teens are rowddy trouble makers. Granted I do cause trouble but I'm a good kid usually :P

Hhahahaha. I feel like karma is a huge b!tch .. and we're screwed when it comes to the teenage years. I know I was rowdy as EFF.

I've got 2 and 3 year old boys (18 months apart). They are a daily marathon, but they are my pals and they help me outnumber my wife (who is awesome too). They are so entranced by the aquariums that I feel a little like I am imprinting them with the obsession.

We definitely had a few sleepless nights, but we loosely subscribed to the methods presented in "On Becomming Babywise" and both of ours slept at least 7 hours by 7 weeks. Granted, I believe that the best possible medicne is a plecebo in which you have faith, but the books methods seemed logical and effective (if not a tiny bit cold).

Yeah. I am, but also not looking forward to when Colette is mobile for that reason.. my girls are 12 months and 2 weeks apart. Yikes. They're definitely going to give me a run for my money.

Thy also LOVE the tanks. Brenna is constantly going over and touching the tank or staring. Her highchair is next to it too.. so when she's eating she's looking at the tank more often than not. :) I hope they get into it as much as Brandon and me. I plan on setting something small up in each of their rooms, eventually. Coolest night light EVER.

Both my girls have been sleeping 6 hours through the night since the day I brought them home!!

My twin girls are 15 months I do the same as Smitty I let them take one nap during the day. they wake up at like 8:30 and at around 12-2 they take a 1 hour nap. Then at like 8:30-10 one will fall asleep when the other sees she has no one to play with she starts laying down. Sometimes tho they won't wanna go to sleep till like 12 and I hate that. They have always since around 7 months never woken up at night they sleep right through. One thing I hate tho is o you have twins double trouble blah blah blah. It's not as bad as everyone makes it seem.

Brenna usually wakes up around 9am and takes a nap around 12/1pm. Lately she's been sleeping a TON. Last night she slept from 10pm to 12:30 pm. That's why I slept in so late. I do believe she's teething and going through a growth spurt though. Her Dr said that's fairly normal.

I sometimes wish my girls were twins.. just because they'd be on the same level. It's hard having a newborn and a 1 year old sometimes.

Congratulations on your new bundle!! :)

They do ALWAYS know! I've noticed that walking in a small figure 8 gets them to fall asleep pretty quick because they can't focus on their surroundings as easy so they just go to sleep! Give it a try!

I have a 19mo old son and a baby in the oven. I love my life and my son. Although a bit of work and energy; hes becoming allot of fun! My buddies always beg me to go out and party, then get disappointed when i say "im up everyday at 7am" Not my life anymore, he controls it. lol. As far as the wife goes... I couldn't do it with out her. She knows exactly how much i appreciate her. Why are there no pictures on this thread? View attachment 3981

I get you but i think its better my party is seen my little guy smile play with him and then sit in front of the tank enjoy the view

He loves the tank for all of two seconds.. lol. Then tries pulling my frag rack magnet off. He shakes the stand all the time. Its really sturdy, thank god!

Very handsome little boy! :)

I definitely have cabinet locks on my doors. She loves to get in there. She can't reach the magnet.. so no worries there!
