overflow standpipe

hey guys.trying to made durso standpipe for my overflow with 5x5 footprint.there is no space for 1.25 pcv 40 pipe.can i use flex pipe for durso?

yeahh i already checked buster,stockman,cj standpipes and saw that a lot of people choose durso.i also checked mr.durso website and found flex standpipe:

it's acrylic and hard to say thickness because i got bulkheads installed but it's at least 1/4inch.

mine is build from 1/2inch and looks pretty solid only botom is a little thiner.

Yeah, I literally watched Eddie at Old Town punch an acrylic 75g tank when he was trying to sell me one. I think it can handle a little flex pipe.
