I use Reef Crystals.

I have a question for the people who use Instant Ocean, do you guys dose anything or just the salt is enough. Because when I was using Instant Ocean I had to dose some stuff, like for PH.

I use Crystal Sea Marinemix just for the past 2 or 3 months.. SPS are happy!! But my brain coral is not the same  Must like the high ALK  Used Reef Crystals for 2yrs before the change

But might change to Red Sea Coral Pro down the road...

I just get RO water from midwest coral farms weekly because I only have a dinky 12 gallon, but next week I'm getting my 90 gallon and I'm getting an RODI unit so this poll is actually very useful to me because I'm going to have to start buying salt and I will probably make a purchase based on the results of this poll and thread!

Red Sea Pro Coral Salt. Switched from Reef Crystals about a bucket and a half ago. I am actually noticing a positive difference in colors and happiness of my corals.

Just switched over to Crystal Sea Marine mix - read alot of great things from other reefers and got it for a great price when Reef Plus had their sale last week.

I just switched to Red Sea regular salt and and very happy with it. Pro Coral is a great salt, but the high alk doesn't go very well with a carbon dosing tank and was constantly screwing up my parameters. Now the SW I put in is right at the levels I am shooting for, so I don't have to adjust dosing per how frequent my water changes are.

I'd still recommend RSPC salt to anyone not running some type of carbon dosing. Use the regular formula if you need Alk to stay around 7.8-8.2.

The old RSCP was the near perfect salt (white bucket). Especially for carbon dosing.
Most of the buckets are now the new batch (black bucket) with new formula (super high alk, mine was at 16dkh).
You can still find some of the old white buckets for sale online, but I figured they would eventually run out so I decided to just make my switch now.
Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Very pleased so far. Even better than the old RSCP.
