I like to set my own settings I use the letter P or M on the dial. P is for program mode which is kinda like auto but better and m is all manual. Give those a try also put your f.stop at lowest number and then mess around with the shutter speed. And also mess with your exposure compensation

I didn't adjust any settings. it was all taken under auto mode.
