So I went there at about 4 today and let me say this place is quite simply amazing! I bought 11 fish, all amazing and doing well. they have amazing customer service, the best selection ever, and they have fish rarer than a fat man declining a slice of cake. by far the best. The owner mark or mike was his name I think, was extremely helpful, and when I asked about a bicolor angel he said not to even though they looked good because a majority of the shipment of bicolors died. This just shows how honest a guy he is which really seals the deal of my continued patronage. Going back tomorrow!!!
Fish I bought

2 onyx misbar clowns
4 blue and gold damsel fish
1 carpenters flasher wrasse
1yellowfin flasher wrasse
1 yellow coris wrasse
2 (pair) of bangaii cardinal fish
Plus he threw in some chatoe free!

if you havent gone yet, go!!! This is the BEST FISH STORE EVER

I agree. I was there today and was help after a few minutes of looking around. The place was clean and had very good prices compared to other stores I have been to. I will definitely recommend this store to others and will be back soon.

Interesting.. Total opposite of other reviews...

Most of the bad reviews are due to a no fish guarantee. I have not had problems with fish dying after being bought yet from anywhere and the two I bought today are doing fine so far. The help that I received was top notch. You cannot please everyone no matter how hard you try, but with that being said it was my first time there and I was definitely pleased with the help, fish, and PRICES I will be going back thats for sure.

And I have to take their side on their policy to some extent. They're selling their most of their fish for ridiculously low prices, so they're making less profit for fish. On most of the fish I've seen there, you could buy two from them for the price of one anywhere else, so you're pretty much getting 50% of your money back instantly, whether the fish lives or dies.

The fish I priced were the same prices at other LFS. For example:

Borbs - $199
Chocostars - $5.75
Goldflake Angels - $225
Evansi Anthias - $29
Indo Harlequin Shrimp - $32
Small Blue Leg Hermits - 38 cents

Now these prices have been beat by other LFSs or close if not the same to Live Aquaria prices, with a guarantee.

Borbs - $199 almost everywhere you go locally.
Chocostars - $4.50 at Xzotic
Goldflake Angels - $225 is pretty good
Evansi Anthias - $29 is the same cost at LA with a 14 day guarentee
Indo Harlequin Shrimp - $25 at Coral Reef and Xzotic and other LFS
Small Blue Leg Hermits - 38 cents is great. Next cheapest is Xzotic at 50 cents.

I bought Indo Harlequin Shrimp for 26$ back on Friday from them.

They had yellow coris for 9.99, but small ones, they go for 19.99 at DD. also had lubbocks wrasses for 9.99, which go for 29.99. A few other examples as well. So it depends on what you are looking for. Like with any LFS, they get specific deals on specific fish, they pass on to their customers.

But to also say all fish are that cheap isn't true as well. Def a good place for fish, lots of stock

I bought 2 Hawaiians for $30 each 2 weeks ago and one Indo last week for $32. I can scan my sales slip and post it for everyone if that is helpful. This weekend they had a sales event, so I am assuming $26 is a sales price. I'm also assuming that most folks here are referring to their regular prices since they don't run sales every day of the week.

Don't forget, with LA/DD comes shipping costs... Turning that Anthias into a $50+ fish. Assuming that you only wanted the one fish. Of course if you buy more it spreads the shipping costs more, and you could buy enough to get free shipping... Plus, that guarantee comes as "store credit", and doesn't include shipping. So, if you were to have a problem and want to try again, that $50 fish turns into $75+? Whereas if you were to buy 2 at RIH, it would be $58.

And there sale was pretty darn good. 2 sexy shrimp for $10? Carpenters, lubbocks, and many other wrasse for $10. I know i bought a lot of stuff, and am very happy with what i got.

You are correct except for the latter. I have always received refunds back to my credit card from LA/DD. They will tell you that they will credit your DD account but they also offer the option of refunding directly to your method of payment. I've only paid for shipping on one of my fish orders, but since I do group buys often (at least 2 dozen) shipping cost is rarely an issue.

Don't get me wrong, RI has it's place and I am sure that these fish sales are great and provide significant savings for these types of fish but there is nothing that any LFS would sell for $9.99 that I would want swimming in my tank. I'm not their target demographic.

I will say the coral prices are great, but then again...the types they sell aren't usually the type I am looking for to put in my tank. I visited mainly for dry goods, phyto and flats of mysis so I don't have anything to gain from stating my honest and unbiased opinion on the establishment or their prices.

Fair enough Walt! They had other fish there for prices I can't even find online. $45 for a Potter's Angel? $38 for a Red Tail Tamarin? Both prices are the non-sale prices. Plus, they had some insane specials this weekend. My dad got a Copperband for $10, and I got 5 Dispars at $10 a piece.

For me, Reef Imports is my new go to Fish store. If their coral is anything like their fish, they'll be my go to all around store. They're close to me too!

I didn't know they did that. That's pretty sweet. I know other places don't...
