Regal Angel in a Reef Tank?

No, I'm not a communist..
So I'm going to be reopening my 90 soon. I know I've been saying that for about 4 months now, but I'm getting really close now ;) just waiting for the custom sump to be built.

I'm planning on this being an acro tank (maybe a monti or 2) and I'd like to add a Regal Angel. I know they are fairly safe with acro's but I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with them and other coral?

I haven't done it personally, but if my tank wasn't 100% coral, I'd try it. They're one of my favorite fish. :)

most angels like to eat Acans and my 2 previous regals ate acans. They pretty much left everything else alone, I've had them with Z&P's, clams, LPS, SPS and those were all fine, except for acans.

Fleshy lps like acans, wellsophyllia, and fungias are at the highest risk. I keep all of the above with a regal and joculator. They nip once in a while but nothing too destructive. I feed 3x a day.

Coral is not part of there natural diet. In the aquarium, angels graze a lot and will eat mucus off of coral while passing by.

I've noticed that adults are less likely to mess with coral than juveniles.

Here's my new baby. So far so good with everything including acans and zoas. Of course he's only been in the DT for 2 weeks. :biggrin5:
My research is similar to what everyone else is saying that fleshy LPS's and clams would be more appealing then acros, but I guess it is ultimately up to the fish. I didn't care that much, but I know you keep high end stuff so it's probably more of a concern for you.

And thanks for everyone's comments. I was actually hoping to have acro's up top and lots of acans on the sb, lol. Might need another strategy or re-think getting a regal!
