Rich's Frag Tank Build

I have the light sitting about 12 inches from the top of the water. I have mostly palys and chalices in the tank so I keep the light fairly low (40-50%) since there really isn't any depth to the tank for me to soften the light.

Any recommendations for a 29g biocube? (Just got the light recently, trying to zero it in...)

I would try to get the light pretty close to the surface without being in the way. 5-6 inches. Just a guess. Probably doesnt need to be as high as what I have. Start with a low intensity and gradually move it higher week after week.

working on it. They look good in person. That photo does a pretty good job to capture the intricate colors and the greenish hues.

Very nice eye candy. I'm just North of you but I work down in Champaign. You weren't the one I got the chaeto from about 6 months ago were you? Left it on the porch in your cooler?
Anyway great pics!

WOW...lots of colors on this thread. I finally got a few new colors in my tank-just waiting for the frags to grow. Great pics!

Thought this was interesting. I have two different strains of CARs. One is huge with bright red skirt but no orange in the center. The other is small with a less red skirt and a definate orange ring in the center. Both have the red ring in the center.
