Rimless Tank

Hey guys-

I need your thoughts on rimless tanks. I'm thinking of upgrading from 75gal to 150 rimless from Glasscage. Does anyone here have a rimless that can share the cons of having one. It'll be setup heavy for SPS and maybe some LPS. Fish maybe limited since they can jump out with this rimless.

Thanks

I don't hear many good reviews about Glasscage aquariums. I would research that company further. I have read about people's glasscage aquariums breaking and spilling hundreds of gallons of water onto their floor in other forumns.

Same here, I would go else where. :(

Thanks Nino & Mike! I won't buy from them. Does anyone have a rimless that they can share the pro and cons? I would still like to buy a rimless.

Look into Elos aquariums, they make some nice tanks. In my future build, many years from now :) , I will be buying from them.

Elos has the best looking tanks I've seen so far on the net. Thanks again Nino and Mark

I had a 96x30x15 rimless built for me from greatlakesaquariums. Included 3 year warranty. 4 sides starphire. Custom center-of-tank overflow.
I also purchased their stand which is a fall-in stand that hides the 2 inch glass euro-bracing on the bottom.
I have all SPS.
I have not picked it up yet, but I received great reviews from everyone online and a few lfs.

I have researched many places, and it seems glasscages is one to definetly avoid.

Anyone here know of a LFS that might have the smaller Elos tanks that I can check out. I want to see one before I dive in and order the 145gal.

I already tried to contact Elos through Reef Central, they don't have any local retailers around here that has a sample of their tanks. Your best bet is to try to find a local reefer that has the tank and ask to check it out.
