Rock's 120

Well as you know Im running the ati 10x54 so for the first 1.5 I run 2 blue+ and when those go off the other 8 come on with 4 blue+, 2 coral+, 1 aqua special, and 1 antinic for 6.5 hrs and then another 1.5 with the blue+ come back on.

Well thank you but still a far away from where I want it.

Isn't it always! I think back to mid summer when my tank was doing fantastic and remember still not totally satisfied with it, and know I'd love to be able to go back to how it was!

You're stuff seems to be doing well, you're tank will be stunning once all those frags turn into large colonies!

Seems like every tank you put together ends up fantastic. Now get that prostrata growing again

Thank you , the first 4-5 yrs in the hobby was all trial and error and I finally found what works for me, keep it simple, test as much as you can, be patient great thing take weeks to see a difference, so every time you make a change sit back and let the tank do the talking.

Time for a update
So not much changed but it's been a month now without running the algae scrubber and no gfo and real small amount of carbon , I feed 3 x a day x2 pellet and 1 time frozen mix , from what I have noticed the skimmer is really kicking as$ and have noticed more color in the sticks, so for the tank has been running for 10 months now I'm really happy with what I'm seeing.

Now looking for some ideas for a frag tank should I do a complete separate system or would you have it plumed into the DT. This is a ways away from happening but it's good to just think about it

Please give me your thoughts

Tom

I like the idea of a frag tank plumbed together but if it's seperate then you can use it as a holding tank to make sure no unwanted pests get into your display

Plumbing them together is certainly easier and cheaper. I have mine plumbed in. But you do lose the luxury of being able to isolate from your DT.

That's what I was thinking my last frag tank was tied into the DT I didn't need double of everything just upgraded the heater add its own pump , light and I was set.

Yeah its way more plug and play. I just T'd mine off the return and have it drain to the fuge.
