The last pic, with the nice porthole in the middle for your swimmers to go thru! That looks awesome now, just imagine it filled with corals and all colored up in like 6 months! I'd say that setup is the winner.

Sweet I like it the best and so does Cecily and Walt. I think that is going to be the way I leave it.

You want to get a good chuckle Walt, I cracked my sump yesterday afternoon trying to clean it out. I have one being built as we speak so I might still be on schedule for this weekend but we will see.

The one we carried into the backyard?

Not a problem George and thank you for dropping what you were doing on Sunday just to help me so I could have a sump by the weekend. Not everyone would do that for someone else ya know.

I'd like the 2nd setup better if you added 1 more rock on the left stack (up against the overflow) to even out each side. Otherwise, it looks good.

The eggcrate seems like a good idea too!

Does the egg crate create dead spots in the anaerobic areas in the sandbed?

Sparky,

Are you doing a DSB in the display?

Well there are times when i think i want to and other times i dont. I dont know much about DSB's except minimum 4" and you cant disturb the sand bed. I know if i go shallow sand bed i need to keep the sand especially what gets tucked in the eggcrate stirred up is this correct? I guess id have to say im undecided at the moment. Ugh decisions decisions. I guess thats part of the fun though.
