Ryan's 120 Oceanic Reef: Right By Da Beach Boyeeee

he or she is doing good so far! has cleaned up the only algae left in my tank that were one my pumps, that was nice, won't have to clean those for a while. Been supplimenting with the dried seaweed sheets, it seems to really like those, the algae rings not so much. Have not been able to get it to eat any frozen food it just completely ignores it and there has been plenty for it to nibble on. Maybe it will take to meaty frozen later in the week!

Anybody know at what size these nano tangs are supposed to develop streamers so I can determine sex of the fish?

So I came home last night to my tank and the right side had toppled over for the fifth and last time. I was so frustrated this happened again I decided to take the rocks and corals out of the right side of the tank and re situate everything in there to make things solid.. While doing this I took out one large rock that attached to the center rock and made a Tonga bridge with some extra Tonga rock I had laying around and I really like the new look because not it is symmetrical to my Tonga bridge on the left side here it is!! First shot is fts then right to left shots of the tank and fts at the end!! Lemme know what you guys think!!

He is doing pretty good and I have been feeding heavy and man does this thing chow down! I place the baster near his borrow and he comes out and puts his entire mouth around the baster opening and I just pump food right into him hahaha. I am a little worried about him though as I have read some pretty bad stories about these guys getting bsjf disease and how hard they are to keep. I thought I was up to the challenge given my recent success with my potters wrasse Sharon.. I just hope he makes it past the three month period because apparently that's when people start to see these guys succumb to this particular idiopathic disease process.. I will be sure to keep everyone posted on his health.

That's my plate coral! It just had lunch and Sharon likes to attack it to get the food out unless I put a cup over it for a few hours.. Of course after harassment and expulsion of food Sharon picks at the food and just spits it out into the water column like a complete doofus.

The spots stopped progressing and I have been paying close attention to my sps since that weird experience. I took madjoes advice and dipped the initial frag that was cheap in ro water and did not see anything fall off into the dip.. Of course the frag like immediately stned a couple hours later but I think that's because I didn't place the frag back in the tank and it didn't have any flow, rather I just placed back in fresh tank water in a Tupperware and floated in sump.. I think everyone was right about it not being aefw however I'm still confused about what it could have possibly been since all my fish are upstanding non coral eating citizens..

I was gonna txt u last night but it was too late.. I'm so pissed man that fox flame I got from u a few weeks ago got crushed by my toppled rocks last night and I lost the main tiny branch.. Now all I have is a encrusted booger plug.. Smh

what did you use to stabilize the rock ?
http://www.marcorocks.com/aquascape-supplies/e-marco-400/
this cement is the best when it comes to aquasaping .. the rock itself would break before the actual cement breaks :)

lol i slept t 3:30 am last nite :|

I will be buying this stuff. right now I just use the hold fast product and in a couple months I will be moving this tank and all its inhabitants to my new apartment in Ukrainian.. Not looking forward to the move one bit but atleast I will be able to Change out my substrate to finer sand, I've been wanting to do that lately since when I see Edins tanks I like his sand the most!!

Hey guys!!!

Been a while since I had an update on my tank thread! Well to say that I have a love hate relationship with this hobby is an understatement. I just recently moved two weeks ago to Ukrainian and my tank is now 3 miles south east and approximately 150 feet higher than where it used to be, yup all 120 gallons of it.

I have to say it was a complete and utter success, I did not lose a single piece of livestock. A lot of the sps browned out but surprisingly the colors are already on there way back. I also replaced the entire sandbed with sugar fine sand!!!!!

Oddly enough my nitrates bumped up to 25 ish but ate already back somewhere at or below 4 which is where I like em.

This new apartment has just incredible light and my coral and clam respond well to it in the morning when the lights aren't even on yet! I'm hoping this may make up for the fact I don't have a mh or t5 and that the ambient light of the apartment may have somthing to add in terms of color and growth!!

Here are some pics!!

Just got back from a ten day trip to North Carolina and the tank is looking FRAGTASTIC!!! Except my roomate apparently really likes over feeding my fish, have some new small algae issues but those will be remedied in a few days!!
