Sand storm

Well 24 hrs later and no change................. I can see it from 10ft away while sitting in my chair! Driving me nuts!

I understand you have had other tanks but 24 hours is a short time for any problem to vanish. You could try running carbon and/or multiple filters (overflow into a finer sock ~50 micron and polyfill in another chamber of your sump) Are you sure its not a bacterial bloom?

Have you tried to catch the particulate with a net? If you can catch some of it you'd at least know for certain if it's bubbles, sand or maybe bacteria as suggested. (My guess is that the bacteria would be slimy, the bubbles would pop and the sand would...feel like sand.)

24 hrs would of been enough time to tell if it was a micro bubble issue from the sump.......

I have not tried any net to try and catch anything....might give that a shot. I also have a canister filter running with filter floss, polishing pads and carbon. Also have a carbon reactor running inline with my GFO reactor. The carbon was bought from BRS.

I have a super busy weekend and not sure I will even get a chance to mess with it. Might not get to mess with it till sunday night......that will be alot of time to see if anything has changed.

Wes
