The outlet went bad. In the control unit it says the heater is off but it was on

Sorry to hear man....turn it around and reset into something better. Look at my photos from about 16 months ago...mostly bare tank.
 
Well sorry for the loss. Weve all experienced some sort of crash and its a good 2nd chance to fix anything you werent 100% happy with

Thanks. I really appreciate it. I have to get new sand and debating on new rock or just clean this rock really well and start from there
