I remember first seeing these when I bought some high-end live rock. They first appear to be some sort of slug, then as they grow bigger their shell becomes more conspicuous.
You can see their shells in your first pic, dark brown on their backs, during the daylight the shrink up into that for safety. As mentioned very desirable snails.
