So I am new to kelkwasser and I am wanting to use it because I am very bad with remembering to dose my tank. Here's my parameters after water Chang
Alk 9.3dkh
CA 420 ppm
Mg 1160 ppm
PH 8.0
Phosphate. 07
This is after 5 days no dosing I think I miss read my Mg test though
8.4dkh
365 ca ppm
1300 Mg ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
Phosphate 0ppm

I would start at half a tea spoon per gallon and go from there. I use i tea spoon per gallon but dose it for 10 sec every 15 min for total of 44 times at night using aqua lifter

There's couple ways of using it. I use my reef keeper and toms aqua lifter pump. It turns on every hr for 30 sec. To make Fully saturated Kalk. Use 2 teaspoons per gallon. Start with 1 and test and see where they end up. My alk still drops a bit. But calcium and ph are steady.
You can also just add it to your ATO. But the amount will vary

I was going to use it in my ato that's where I am confused for some reason I don't use as much alk as I do ca ,I don't see growth and I do have lots of sps in my tank

I didn't want to use the ato due to the fact of the evaporation variance, and the possibility of it getting stuck on and dumping it all in the tank. so reefkeeper and aqulifter for me

Unfortunately I don't have that option I don't have a reef keeper or apex, this is the issue I am fighting I don't wanna set a drip method because I'll for get to set it up I like the idea of half teaspoon

Idk i just used it in my ato it worked fine in summer and winter i did have a dump one time and like five gallons went in nothing died paled out but survived . Dosing and dosing pumps with two part work best but brs does sell a dosing pump that has bigger hose used for kalk dosing

U can use a timer in place of reefkeeper

Do you think it is even worth me doseing kelkwasser song I am not dropping that much? I am so confused on this and I font wanna screw up anything in my tank

Try dosing Tropic Marin Calcium powder instead... A scoop or two every other days keeps things in check easily

I read up on that, I don't like the fake of putting the dry powder in the tank seeing I don't have a sump in this tank

I am so worried about effing up my tank, I just want it to be happy and I always for get to dose that is why I am looking in to doing this. My consumption of alk and ca is not that much is it? I do water changes every week but I wanna keep it stable in between them this is why I am thinking kelkwasser is the way to go for me

I turn down my tunze ATO so it i drips now so that schools help with not Oding my tank right?

The main concern in kalk is ph. It can raise the ph in the tank drastically. As long as you have a good ato with safety measures you should be good

Get on YouTube and find the BRS videos about kalk, there are a couple of them and really helped me when I started it. They go through what it is, what it does, how to mix, how to dose. Very informative. I put mine in the ATO and for me its the best way, but there are other options too
