Sparky's Biocube.

OIC, the media basket does sit higher than that ledge. I just looked at mine, it's about a 1/4" higher than that ledge.

No reason you couldn't, the first level/ shelf is ~3-4" below the ledge. The only thing I would be concerned with is the flow in to the basket itself. They use a piece of acrylic to hold the basket to the area of the ledge to direct the flow over it.(media basket) It's part of the flow director itself. You could fit a piece on the ledge to "create" the edge though, that way you could make it flow correctly.

Corals from Cecily's 75g are now in the biocube.

We upgraded from the par 38 to a d120 fixture. It is nice but i do wish it was a cobtrollable model.

It is full spectrum it has 2 dimming knobs one for blues and violets and one for whites and colors. The adjustment is not very precise at least to me anyway. It is a cheap fleabay light it does use bridgelux leds and 90º optics and I'm sure it can grow corals and the spectrum is nice once you get it dialed in but it is basic and no frills. I would not imagine it could hook up to a controller without major modification. But its just temporary the biocube will be broken down within a month.
