I'm into crocheting - lame I know but it's a great stress reliever! I'm such an old lady at heart, apparently.

But today, I got 1000 pop tabs in the mail that I ordered off of eBay. I'll be making crocheting said pop tabs together to make myself a new diaper bag!
I'm thrilled to have a new project going and thought I would share my excitement with all of you! Hahahah.

A pop tab is the pull tab at the top of a soda can.

theres a ted talks episode about the crochet reefs on netflix, pretty cool, if for nothing other than mentioning the reef lul. its in the math section, i guess theres some kind of crazy calculations in the stitches?

Yeah, when trying to make a pattern there's some counting involved. In making things different sizes there's more involved.

Yeah! Those guys are nuts. I've seen bags/jewlery made from pop tabs the same way as they make the armor. It's just a huge pain in the butt because you have to bend the pop tabs, and then cut them and put them together. Crocheting is way quicker.
