Car accidents sucks.. My sgts old partner was working 2 weeks ago on a Saturday morning. Just routine patrol. Got rear ended by a drunk polish guy in a jaguar that was going 80mph... He broke his back and is out for a looooong time. They were lucky they were only riding 2 deep bc their 3rd partner took some time off in the front.. the back seat ended up in the front seat and the 3rd guy would have been dead. And all they were doing was driving down a street.

Thanks Jorge...yeah, no more chases for me, unless it's 100% needed...especially since now I'm being promoted to Sergeant. I wish those guys the best with their recovery, the back ain't nothing to mess with. This job has so many different unknown twists and turns, and can change lives in a blink of an eye. You be safe out there bro.

Just give it some time...you'll get the opportunity. They should be having a test soon, they just promoted a group of detectives. One of my guys was in that group.

Lol my buddy also did but he was in the"next class" for 6 years and they took the test 7-8 yrs ago.
