Tank / Stand / Light Design Issues.

Rectangle stand, half-moon tank, smaller rectangle light.

To me the tank seems out of place, what would you change to make everything visually flow together?

If I was designing it... I would make a canopy to hide the light fixture and would use the same dimensions of the tank. I would also change the stand to look similar...as in a half moon design... but I would extend it 3-4". I would like to have a small ledge to sit food.. and other things as I need to service the tank.

My two cents worth. I look forward to seeing how this evolves!

what are u doing for filtration that will be a huge factor in how big or small to make stand will everythin be under or in another room

I agree, I'd make the stand a lil bigger, and in the shape of a half moon...there isn't anything you can do about the lights really.

Also, Make sure your stand is large enough to house your sump (or whatever you plan on keeping below) + additional room for other items you will undoubtedly pick up over time. Also make sure you stand is tall enough to fit your skimmer and be able to easily remove it for maintenance.

The sump is the issue, I need a new tv stand and am thinking a "remote" sump but for a 29 gallon tank it seems overkill. Do not want a canopy, I like the minimalistic view of the clean glass edge.

I ran out of time to play around, I have another idea I want to model.

For those that know me on RC I've had this tank almost a year and haven't gotten past this

For those suggesting a half moon stand, how would you make a door for that?
