God this tank is so amazing I can't imagine what it looks like in person, keep up the good work I hope to one day stop by and take a gander. What are your plans with that feather starfish? I.e. What will u feed and are u afraid it will get sucked into a power head?

Yea. Its a crinoid or a feather starfish. Brian had some at the expo. In captivity they may not survive long term. Theres a video on youtube they swim magically but in a system i suspect they grasp on to a rock and the powerhead creates flow where they place their filters.

What is the red coral on the rocks

I am assuming you are asking about that red blob in upper left? This is what's left from my chilli coral. Something was munching on it, I pulled out 2 crabs, so far no other casualties.

Very nice tank and amazing school anthias.

Thank you, they got really comfortable now, eating like pigs and my male resplendent anthia started to flash recently, it looks amazing, pictures can't show the true colors. Total right now I have 10 anthias, 6 resplendent, 3 sunset and 1 fathead. Plan is to have around 30 mixed , deepwater anthias when fully stocked. Here is the best I could do, top picture is his regular color, bottom when flashing.

Quick update on my qt. Tinkeri butterfly is doing great now. Couple of days after I got her from LFS it was covered in ich everywhere , also I saw signs of flukes. That's so important to have qt ready, as even best LFS can't prevent all disease. She is in 60 mg/gal CP and after 2 treatment with General Cure which is Prazipro and Metro mixed together. I was scared for couple of days as she stopped eating and only was breathing with one gill, the other was shut. But few days later she looks clean and eating like pig, also is breathing normal with both gills. She will stay in CP for full 30 days, after that I will observe her for another week or so, and if all good will go in DT before holidays.
