Good water high light and stability is the start. Can tweak in future. Learn how to establish that. Makes a huge difference

I do weekly water changes I think I have good lighting reefbreeders with t5 supplement, I run a ATO water is at 78° all my sps are at the top of my tank

I just changed my salt so I am waiting a week to start dosing alk or ca again to figure out what I need to start with Monday will be one week and I am going to test my parameters agen to determine what I'll need I was told to start testing for potassium as well.

plus one to what jay said ..
im not an expert with sps, but im starting to understand them..
few pointers as i understood them ..

1. Low Nutrients and high light -- my tank got soo low on nutrients that chalices all paled out and i have to move them to a different nano tank to save them from dying .. well the reason it got soo low on nutrients is i did biopellets and then lot of chaeto and then a skimmer rated for 180 gallons on a 50 gallon tank ... i use radions and currently at 70% of its 20k setting so really high light.

2. what ever we do, i think tank aka rock takes some time before it can handle all elements of chemistry hence providing a stable env

3. Salt, i use red sea pro .. and changed to instant occean as i have to make large water changes ... i can tell my corals are already feeling the difference :)

my ato water is stone cold probably at 60 or so .. and my tank temp varies between 79 and 80 ..

its just corals are liking the tank for now :) it can change any time ;)
