I recognize that hand writing. I could probably squeeze that Banshee into my tank since you're out of space.

lol no .. they are not from local :) if thats what you are hinting at ..

yes its a neon green torch with pink/purple tips i have been looking for ..well the package is beyond shipping charges anyways so just added that torch too ;)
 
Damn i did something really really stupid .. just glad i got lucky :D


i programmed my Alk and calcium dosers on my reefkeeper and guess what .. i programmed the calcium doser to run for 5 hours instead of 5 mins..

lucky calcium doser is almost empty .. the doser emptied the calcium container... and my calc climbed from 460 to 620 in one day :( hopefully not much damage ..

im soo glad i didnt do that with the Alk dosing or else everything would have been dead by now :faint:



PS: Effects of programming stuff at 1am lol

Hope everything holds on , I don't see cal being to big of a problem thought, yeah, alk that's a different story.

Exactly lol .. i went home for lunch today and was looking at the sump and was wondering why Both alk and calc pumps are moving at the same time

i remembered the 5 hour screen from last nite and well My heart just skipped a beat thinking its alk

yea ..ill do a water change tonite and call it a day .. high calc isnt exactly a problem..

i just did some reverse math and had it been alk it would have spiked from 8dkh to 16dkh in about 11 hours .. no chance anything sps would have survived that .. :)
 
And what the heck are you doing up at 1 still ? If it where me I would even be able to see the buttons at 1am

that's quite an ALK spike! You definitely caught a lucky break there! I find the more you mess with things the more problems you have

Thanks bud ..

Its becoming an every day battle for me though .. I run my radions at 85% ( not sure how many would attempt that high intensity ) and tank pretty clean .. So my chalices are suffering if i dont spot feed them, if i change the lighting and increase nutrients to suit chalices im afraid sps would be hit ..

I was offered a giesemann infinity with 175watt 14k bulb and 175w giesemann ballast for a good price .. Thinking hard if making switch to MH would let me keep both sps and chalices happy ..
