Scanning Craigslist, I came across an ad of 4 peppermint shrimp for $10, same deal for emerald crabs. Since the stores near me are around $10 each on those, I called the number in the ad. Turns out they are an aquarium maintenance/fish supplier going retail. They don't have a ton of fish in stock right now, but they are adding over 2000 gallons of stock tanks soon. All of the fish looked healthy and the prices were amazing. For example, potter's angels for $40, bluespotted jawfish for $75, so on and so forth. I'm going back Wednesday to grab a fish or two. There was a frag trough, but nothing crazy. From my recollection, not much for dry goods either. I'm interested in seeing how they develop. With those prices, I know where I will be looking to buy my fish. They are still setting up, so the place doesn't look very "polished", but the people were very friendly. I believe their hours are 10-7pm 7 days a week.

I stopped by there when she was setting the place up, for a used Eheim filter. She was very nice, I just think it's in a bad location for them.

That's what is great about the internet though, location means nothing! Small overhead makes it easier to keep prices down. I'm curious to see what they do with the place.

Stopped in today for the peppermints..... For some great advice and they already ate three aptasia....GOOD DAY

i was with my family today crusing since i was out and about so i figured i would check it out. i had seen the adds also. but i had not seen anything about hours on the adds or adress. there was a map but only a general location. as i got closer to o'hare i begain to think the only fish around there was snapper, and either my wife of smitty would him me up lol. i couldnt find it even after calling the add and getting an adress. they had text me befor and told me it was a store when i respnded to the add a while back. it was only 7:30 and i was rite at york and erving after driving from south depage. when i called it was just a stern hello! so i asked it it was underwater. she said yup! i asked for the adress and she told me. i asked what the hours were she said 11am-6pm. i asked so you are already closed and got another very stern yup! and she hung up. my wife next to me askem me "what the hell was that about" i said i dont know. i tryed to find it just to see what the store looked like since i was already there. i never found it and with the ladies additude i will not attemp it again. if i need cuc i will order from reefcleaners.org and get my fish from rw or other members. i got better reseption at aqua adventures sadly enough. sorry for the novel

Well this isn't a very good start for them.

Went to underwater after going to xzotic, pretty close to each other, to me just another place. They had a couple dead fish in the tanks that made me cringe but I would go back. Emeralds are cheaper at Xzotic Aquatics, they're $2 each, peppermint a I think are $3, they had a blue spot on special for 70. Don't want to hijack the post but I've seen cheaper prices around. They both have baby clown triggers but xzotic has em 4 cheaper.

This place is really low key. I drove around for 20 minutes and was unable to locate their store. I walked up to the address I had for them, and it wasn't a fish store. I eventually gave up and went back home. Anyone know their actual address? It isn't even on their website lol.
