Shaun, have you been reading the posts? I did contact them through email before any of these posts, and the response to me was clearly unacceptable. As I stated above, I did not expect a full refund, but I also didn't expect to pay more than I did originally. Not to mention the rude responses I got in general.

Aaron, I did read your post. I understand your point of view. I don't think you have to pay more for the same fish. But then answer these questions for the sake of clarity:
1. How long did they have the fish in before they sold it to you?
2. Was the fish eating when you bought it?
3. How long did you have the fish before it died?
4. Do you think any body at RIH lied to you, or denied to provide you with information regarding the fish?

I suppose you were there personally, saw the fish before you decided to buy it. Right?

Ok. I was told the fish was there for 6 weeks. The fish was an Angler, I did not expect to see it eat before purchasing, as anglers are known not to feed daily, and possibly weeks. Bought the fish on a sat night. Dead by the 4th day I had him. I am not accusing anyone of lieing, and yes, I did see the fish. Hopefully this gives you some clarity. Again, I did not expect to pay more for a replacement. I understand the fish was on sale for 89, normally 125, but to charge me 100 for a replacement I think was wrong, and I personally thought the emails I got in response were quite rude.

I work in communications and a lot of things said can be taken as being rude when in reality they are being nice. A lot of things come off as rude thru email, text etc.... I advise you just give them a call instead of posting here about a bad experience that can be avoided.

I think everyone has made their point. I'm reminded of the old saying, "You can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time."

This has run it's course, let's get back to reefing.
