What corals to start with?

I made the mistake of buying from aquacon and had to contact my credit card company to get a refun, they never refunded me when I called them.

You can trust liveaquaria. In terms of customer service and fish/coral health they are probably the very best in the business.

+1 They are the best! Don't fear ordering from them! They have amazing livestock and great customer service.

I agree with Heidi on both counts. Plan your tank for the future. Also, there are some very good online retailers. Live Aquaria is a staple, but i've also bought some of my coolest and most unique pieces online. Pacific East Aquaculture is great to deal with too. I'm sure there are others too.

Also agree that if you can find it locally from someone one in a forum (or one of their sponsors) then that is usually your best and cheapest bet.

Agreed with Eric. And if you are looking for something specific start a thread looking for it. I can almost guarantee you someone has it or can tell you where to get it. Just let us know

I love LiveAquaria, but you can usually get things locally coral wise from another reefer or local store and save money.

I'll frag you some GSP if you're willing to make the drive! I could even throw in a leather for a few bucks if you decide to make it all the way up here. And if you drove all the way up here, I would highly recommend driving 10 minutes more to Midwest Coral Farms and picking up some $10 Frags.

You can get great frags at great prices at Midwest Coral Farms in Highland Park

I have kept several species of Zoas in a12g nanocube for over 5 years!!
