What kind of puffer did I see

Only reason y I believe it is puffer is Bcuz that's what they had it labeled at LFS. But I understand people make mistakes

Yeah, do a TON of research on that fish. It should be kept in a species only non-reef tank, as if it becomes stressed it emits a toxin that can wipe out the entire tank.

Just sit down at computer with a Super Gulp and google puffer fish

and read EVERYTHING!!! go to the forums and look for the users with puffer name and pics for their IDs; they know puffers......
