Will's Frag tank build

yes it's shallow. Water flows over 5" divider into tank then over 4.5" divider and back to sump. Playing with my 250w 20k halide over my 10" deep tank now to see how high it needs to be to make par reasonable.

Wow, that's going to be a lot of light! I really want to see this tank in action. Be sure to post several pics as the build develops.

Not too bad and very crisp lighting. About 400 Par at surface with light at 24".

If I lower it to 12" I get more like 650 PAR.

Zoa's can get used to either, Acan's like ~250-300 from what I can tell.

I will likely grow out groups of frags that all like similar lighting. Frag area is 17X24. need some black frag rack that size....anyone?

If u keep ur acans at 250-300,. Ur acans will all look just red and orange... U will lose all the color... Most like 100 par just an fyi

update

So been working on stand today

top shelf will be my 10X10X24 10 gallon tank for refugium

Middle shelf is for frag tank

Bottom with skimmer is where sump will go 15x15x24

Pump will lift to 10 gallon which will drain to frag tank then back to sump

I have lumber for canopy with 1x6 sides

Still have to square it all up and mount all the shelves, driveway is not level so this is just mock up
