WP40 and what I think...

I was surprised on how solid the housing was... When they say cheap stuff from china I was expecting something like a koralia or thinner. It is pretty thick and solid. How ever the magnet needs some work. I have one that is pretty quiet as it sits snug in the magnet. The other one was a bit louder and can here the the whining and this ones is not snug in the magnet. I am able to quiet it down by finding that sweet spot.

I tried the sensor and yup it's a pos;(. Would be nice but I'm not making a big fuss over it.

As for the functions...
W1 is the classic pulsing wave mode and you can adjust the pulse rate. The slowest is like 1 sec intervals. W2 and 3 is random intensity in flow. Else is there version of reef crest. I like this setting the best for my tank.

Over all I'm extremely happy. I like the vortech in the low profile but the ones I seem and heard are pretty noisy for me the wp40 is less than half the noise. Yes it bigger than I like but I'm able to replace 5 koralias with one unit... Good trade off in my book. Would be nice to be able to control the flow like the tunze and vortech but hey I didn't have to pay a arm,leg and nut for it:).

Now the same question... Lets see how long it will last.
 
Dre, I put one and take out the MP40 and 2 Tunze 6055 and keep one 6055 on the other side corner.

I may sell the other WP40.
 
For kicks I put 2 in my 60cube. :). I had a whirlpool an water on the floor ;). Then moved one to the 40 and a sand storm erupted. Hahaha.
 
been almost a week of using this and its a great replacement for my koralia. Now i wish they would come out with the smaller one so I can buy it for my 20g.
 
So far the night sensor has worked for me 2 nights in a row.. Also purchased the universal AC adapter to lower at 15V vs 24V..
 
Video also shows the night sensor working. The sensor will detect light even if a flash light is shining at it and will remain at full power. You can notice it when we cover up the flash light on the camera that it changes as the light shining to it changes. Great pump for the money IMO though!

I want to get a couple but going to wait a couple months to see how they are functioning after some time of use.
