Come downstairs this morning to find this

Looks like the fixture itself went bad or one of the wires touched inside the fixture since I saw the black residue on part of the reflector.

[MENTION=2223]Spartanman22[/MENTION] I seriously can't tell you how great full I am for the light. Played with it for 5 hours and added some fans and made a way to hang it and here is the end product

Got off work at 7am and have been playing with the tank. Now I have 2 1/2 hours until I have to leave to go to work a 12 hour shift haha. Damn fish keep me up everytime

Hey don't mention it. I will say though the issue with the ballast was that sometimes it would randomly shut-off. Sometimes it would run all day, sometimes half the day, and other times only a couple minutes. So, just be prepared if it shuts off randomly!!

I'm using my lumatek hqi ballast. Only problem I had was the bulb. I tried putting that 20000k bulb I got from you in there and it wouldn't turn on. Not sure what happened. Worked fine in my other reflector for the 1 day I got to run it before my light broke

That is odd maybe that bulb isn't supposed to be run on hqi? Idk anyways I feel bad for selling you a bulb that you can't even use how about a frag for the inconvenience

Nah I'll try running it on my other fixture without an hqi ballast. Hopefully the fixture I got will be fine. It's on the hqi ballast but I switched it to the 250w setting
