Picked up a 5 stage rodi today woo. Might actually start putting 0 tds water in my tank instead of tap. Uh oh did I just let everyone know I use tap water
Made a 2nd chamber for my cal reactor. Still not co2 but it's running anyway. Everything is ready to go just need to screw the regular on the bottle when I get it back.
Now my stand is super packed. Like I can't do anything inside.
Maybe the wife will let me do the fish room now
Yeah right!
She said 5 years until my next upgrade I don't think she liked it when I started laughing. Looks like I'll have to wait 2 years until I get my 180.... so maybe then I'll get the fish roomdon't push it
Tom

Oh haha yeah maybe. That and not enough cucLol forgot about your crash i meant some the algae issues u had for awhile
Well I'm slowly switching over to salifert for everything. Alk mostly because I'm trying to figure out my exact consumption so once my co2 bottle is filled then I can dial in my calcium reactor a little fasterThe only salifert I use is MG. Key to any color test, the light you use is critical. The endpoint color will change drastically depending on your light source (3k, 6k, halogen, sunlight, etc.) I use API alk for daily testing and always use the same light source above my frog tanks. Instead of focusing on the actual number of your alk, if your tank is thriving, simply continue to use the same test kit brand and shoot for the same endpoint. When buying a refil kit, it doesn't hurt to compare the new kit to the old for a few times to ensure they match.
That's going to be the longest wait everI can't wait until you have a nice colony of that surprise!

I know it's expensive compared to other tests, but do yourself a favor and get a Hanna alk checker. As often as we sps dudes need to check alk, you'll be glad you have a Hanna.
Also, tap water? WTH? Just kidding, but like Joe said, that could have been at least part of your issue. Did you mount the new rodi unit under your tanks?
You get the Battle Stag?
