It'll be a 1801500Watt heater ? what tank size are you looking to upgrade to ?
Yeah on another forum brought that up. Didn't think about it for some reason. I run 2 on my current tankLooks good. But I wouldn't trust just 1 heater. I've always been a fan of redundancy. Just devide it in to 2 heaters. It will b a fail safe. U know if one stays on for some reason it won't cook ur tank. Also if one doesn't turn on ull still have the other one helping keep the temp up.
thats why i asked too .. .Quote Originally Posted by The reefer View Post

I've got a 300 and 250 on my tank now and on cold nights I feel like it takes too long to heat the tankthats why i asked too .. .
i have two 100 watt heaters for a 50 gallon and its fine
I'm gonna use 2 300 watt heaters on my 190. Only have 1 300 on the 125 and it worked perfecty.I've got a 300 and 250 on my tank now and on cold nights I feel like it takes too long to heat the tank
I havnt been running any and I hate the build up in the sumpI'd also think twice about the filter sock choice. I use two 7-inchers and I don't run a ton of water through my sump. My socks clog up after about 4 days or so. I'd prefer if they lasted a week before overflowing. They're just a pain in the ass to change and I'd hate to do it every other day.

That's why I stopped running the 7" lol I hate changing themDon't get me wrong, I like running socks, I just don't like to change them. I think if you go with the four inches, you'll have to change the pretty often.

Also if u can, I would do a custom sump. Anthony at nanoseacreations does good work. I bought my sump from him. Also advance acrylics is good also. I've seen some work and it's excellent. Could be a couple weeks before u get the sump but that should be fine since it's gonna be a slow build.
I'll probably do 2 500w or a little biggerI agree I have a 500w for the main and a 300w for a back up ,
