Think I figured out why my sps aren't growing as fast as they should

These are fresh calibrated probes.
I added an air stone to my sump and turned on the house fan to swap out some air

Looks good. But I wouldn't trust just 1 heater. I've always been a fan of redundancy. Just devide it in to 2 heaters. It will b a fail safe. U know if one stays on for some reason it won't cook ur tank. Also if one doesn't turn on ull still have the other one helping keep the temp up.

Also if u can, I would do a custom sump. Anthony at nanoseacreations does good work. I bought my sump from him. Also advance acrylics is good also. I've seen some work and it's excellent. Could be a couple weeks before u get the sump but that should be fine since it's gonna be a slow build.

Yeah on another forum brought that up. Didn't think about it for some reason. I run 2 on my current tank

thats why i asked too .. .

i have two 100 watt heaters for a 50 gallon and its fine :)

I'd also think twice about the filter sock choice. I use two 7-inchers and I don't run a ton of water through my sump. My socks clog up after about 4 days or so. I'd prefer if they lasted a week before overflowing. They're just a pain in the ass to change and I'd hate to do it every other day.
