Yeah but if i run it off the return and my calcium reactor fails for any reason i want to be able to shut it down and that wouldnt be possible with the return. Especially if i was out of town.I like it. Why would you want to run a manifold off of a separate pump? Isn't that the beauty of a manifold, to keep things simple?

I would have to shut the feed pump off which is the one im trying to eliminate. Yes i could shut the solenoid off but if it already dumped a ton of co2 into the reactor and started melting the media i wouldnt want it to get back into the tank because itd cause a spike. Especially if i didnt notice right away.Couldn't you just shut of the CR pump or CO2 Regulator. Then the reactor would just have water flowing through it but no CO2 to dissolve the media?
I'm not too educated on Cal RX, but I do think I'll get one soon-ish. I'm thinking Geo 618 with the Aquarium Plants electronic regulator. I don't plan on going with a PH probe, just test tank alk and adjust bubble count accordingly.
Yeah i set mine up how toxic on r2r did his. He put up a video and made it super simple to setup. But different things work for different people. Cant wait to see how yours does it with it on there. You use kalk now right?I was talking with James at New Fish and he does it super simple on his 600 gal SPS tank. No ph probe at all and he doesn't worry about the ph in his reactor. He just worries about his tank DkH. Too low, up the CO2 bubble count and vis versa. Just steady stream of effluent and adjust bubble count accordingly. The aquarium plants regulator is super accurate because it doesn't rely on pressure for the needle valve. I like the thought of this method better than relying on a probe and an apex/reef keeper to control a regulator.
Fixed it

Yeah the stand now has a 3" slit long ways all the way across and it gets kind of hot in there thats why i thought maybe a couple fans would fix it but an open back seems so much easierMuch better trust me back closed up on stand and canopy is never good

Lol thats going to be alot of heat. I think 4 fans will work thoughm right now im using a tower fan and it keeps my tank perfectly between 80-80.3Yea dont put fan on tge stand but forsure on the canopy to blow across lights specially the mh beast
I got a question for you, you run t5s right? I just got a tek 8 bulb fixture and I need to figure out what lights to run. Sorry anarchy for talking about it on your threadYea dont put fan on tge stand but forsure on the canopy to blow across lights specially the mh beast
Haha no biggie. Madjoe and rockhead can definitely answer your t5 questions.I got a question for you, you run t5s right? I just got a tek 8 bulb fixture and I need to figure out what lights to run. Sorry anarchy for talking about it on your thread

Right now i run all ati bulbs 4 blue plus 1 coral plus and one purple plus. When i had 8 bulbs i just added anoth blue plus and a attinic but really up to your eyes the corals seem to love the blue pluses but some people dont like the blue look so u can add a sexond whitish bulb like aquabluespecial or another coral plus . If u do id probably just lose the attinic and keep the blue plus . Ive always used ati bulbs never tryed giesman i know some mix it up with ati and giessman then throw a sylvania 4600k in the pics always looked nice but ive never tried
Thanks for the help I have never ran t5s so I have no idea where to start that's why I an asking what to run
