2 MP40s and you wont have any issues with flow. I have a similar tank 72x25x15 with 2 MP40s and a eheim 1262 with great random flow. All sps.

Ya, I'm not too worried with what I have at this point and I don't plan on having a ton of SPS. I'm going to wait and see how it goes :)

Radion's up and running:

Cut the rails we made to clean up the look:

And then after all that.... my husband surprises me today, for my birthday, with this:

The third light! :becky:

Well... Its back to work! I guess I get a re-do on hanging the lights. Going to have to drill another hole on opposite side of tank to run the new cords down and re-position all the electrical down below to get 3rd ballast in.... And make another set of rails.

Wow... Kinda makes me want to get a long shallow tank!!!

Looks great. Can't wait to see stocked with fish and corals. What fish are you planning to put in there?

Thanks Mark! Me either! :)
I'm still not sure what all I want to stock it with. We will definitely add a Blue Hippo since that is my son's favorite fish. Everything from my biocube will get moved over to the new tank as well(2 clowns, yellow clown goby, and a yasha goby).
I admit I have total fish envy with what you have in your tank already... Beautiful!

Looking good Becky! I was wondering where you guys have been, it looks like you've been busy!

Hey Blake! :) Yes, very busy! Miss you guys! I'm half way tempted to drive out and pick up some inverts.... It is mothers day after all.... I should treat myself to some snails and crabs lol

Thanks Adam! Not heavy at all... Maybe 75lbs? It's amazing how much lighter the acrylic is then glass.

Thank you. My 220 just leak all over the floor, maybe 25g got out. Might email Nano Sea Creations for tank prices, I don't want another large glass tank again.
My 220 was a pain to move because it was 394lbs.

No problem! :)

:( Sorry to hear about your tank... I would definitely contact Anthony. I know he is really busy but he is well worth it and I would use him again with any future build I may ever have. :)

Finally did a little shopping.... :)

Went to MCF with the kids yesterday(which always makes for an interesting trip)... Told my 6yr old daughter, Leah, to pick whatever coral she wanted for the new tank. First she asked, "what if it's not reef safe" lol... at least she learning the lingo....Then she proceeds to pick everything that's brown-really?! Out of all the stuff they have? Brown? Needless to say, we did not come come with anything brown except a Powder Brown Tang :becky:

Brae was dissapointed we didn't come come with his Blue Hippo Tang.... Soon buddy, soon!

So a rundown of new additions:
-Cleaner Shrimp
-Fire Shrimp
-Assorted Snails/Crabs
-Sand Sifting Starfish
-Fromia Starfish(with 8 arms!)
-Sea Hare(gross-but he is eating the hair algae I somehow ended up with...never had a
problem with this before)
-Bright green mushrooms (picked by Leah)
-Watermelon and blue and red Zoa's (picked by Leah)
-Chalice frag (picked by Leah)
-Red and green Favia (picked by Braeden)
-Red Mandrin (residing in biocube)
-High Fin Goby (also in biocube... Has been MIA for past few days... Hmmmm....)
-Powder Brown Tang

I'll post pics later today :)

... I apologize, iPhone pics...

The tang has adapted quite well already... Glad I made lots of caves to swim through!

... Also trying to decide if I want to hang 3rd Radion or sell/return.... I really get a decent amount of coverage with just the 2. Right now I have plenty of light for needy corals and some shadier areas for the not so needy.... Anyone have any thoughts as to keeping as-is or adding 3rd?

Great looking tank i would add the third radion so there are not the two large shaded spots on each side. but that just me. Either way i cant wait to see more as the build progresses

IMO I'd mount the third. The two look too spotlightly over that long of a tank. It also looks like the last foot on either side is too dim to really place any corals. I think your light spread will be much better with 3, and you can always dim them down if too strong..
