looking real good...

Thanks! It's getting there... :)

Great looking tank i would add the third radion so there are not the two large shaded spots on each side. but that just me. Either way i cant wait to see more as the build progresses

IMO I'd mount the third. The two look too spotlightly over that long of a tank. It also looks like the last foot on either side is too dim to really place any corals. I think your light spread will be much better with 3, and you can always dim them down if too strong..

Thanks for your advice! - in person it doesn't look as spotlighty as it does in pic... My problem is that I plan on having mostly LPS and my open brain under my AI Sol started to bleach. I only ran it at a max of 35%. I'm worried if I add 3rd I won't have any less intense areas to put coral that don't like it that bright....

On a disappointing note, I still haven't seen the High Fin Goby...
He was eating, looked good.... There is a screen top on nano... Who knows.... :(

totally agree, in the pics with only two it does have the spotlight effect

+1

I guess should just hang the third and stop thinking about it right?... Not looking forward to drilling 2 new holes in the wall...

And the goby..... After searching high and low he is definitely no longer :(

...went back to MCF on Friday to return the sea hare.... It did an amazing clean up job! :)
Another week had gone by since MCF had their blue hippo tangs... Braeden was with me..."Blake... Blake!" (Brae loves Blake! :) )
I couldn't refuse. So we came home with the tang and bi colored blenny.

Then I decided to take a trip and go see Brian @ Reefwise yesterday... Intending on ONLY getting coral, I came home with a little blue throat trigger. I totally fell in love with him! I did get some coral too :)

(brian's pic of my new trigger. Trigger is about 4 1/2 - 5 inches long)

And a horrible pic of the 2 babies hanging out in nano(the now qt) for next several weeks :)

It's been WAY too long since I've updated, had a little time, so here it is....

First off, my powder brown tang has been residing in the "time out" tank. He was so aggressive to the blue throat trigger and the blue hippo tang. He mangled the triggers fins and continually bit the baby tang.... I really love that powder brown but I just don't know if he will be compatible with the others.... Breaks my heart... Just have to wait and see...

I mysteriously lost some little fish... First my yasha goby, then mandarin, and last but least, my daughters clown(she is devastated)... My only thought is that they took a trip through the overflow(which now is screened off) after finding my yasha goby in the refugium a month later(yay!!)

So... Last week I ordered an emperor angel off DD.... And also babysitting a Niger trigger nicknamed "B.A.T" big *** trigger. He's huge lol. He's messy and clearly likes redecorating the sand but he a beautiful fish.

And last but not least the p.b tang show ich before I took him out of the tank and that was of course just before I added the new fish.... ugh... But the good news is(knocking on wood), all inhabitants are eating and looking good and the cycle you see is almost over as the fish are clearing up.

So here are some more crappy iPhone pics...
