Everything is going great, no die off's. Added a Tomini Tang, its already eating some of the hair algae that has started to grow on some of the old rocks before I added the protein skimmer. So luckily it hasn't run a muck in the tank. The protein skimmer is pulling a bunch of dark skim off the water. Looking to add 1-2 reactors with GFO, Carbon or both. Any recommendations on reactors would be cool. Been looking at some reef octopus reactors on CoralVue that come with pumps.

I'm also wondering if I could use these instead of worrying about GFO clumping up. What is the difference between the two? Also do they biodegrade or if I was to empty these into the garbage will they get into the water way? We certainly don't need anymore plastic in the waterways or ocean.

Just had a major score of the day, I won a Seachem Pinnacle+ RO/DI Professional 400L/100gpd unit at the Aquatic Experience in Schaumburg, IL. If you haven't gone yet go and check it out! My fiance picked up her yellow tang and a platygyra coral frag. I came home with two XLG Nassa snails, one orange tuxedo urchin and a black tribal blennie from Beyond the Reef. A month ago I picked up a Tomini tang that has been battling some of the hair algae growth on my old rocks. Luckily it hasn't spread throughout the 220! All in all it was a sweet day!

Thank you, can't wait to set it up. I'm exhausted still from the weekend. There was a ton of cool stuff to look at the Aquatic Experience. Also meeting and talking to everyone that stopped by the Aquarium Overload and Rockford Reefers Club booths. Along with the launch of ChiTown Aquariums site, which has freshwater, ponds and saltwater, also a events listing page for all three. On the site it has an option to input your parameters and ability to view them from previous entries. Almost like a log file.

Moved out of the fiances parents house finally and back to the western suburbs to our own house.

Moved the 220 and only lost a few fish. 2 blue green chromis, one went down the over flow when I had the 300 stock tank setup in the basement. One to jumping out of the 220 onto the kitchen floor over the weekend. One Davinci clownfish to a clown trigger becoming aggressive, bit through its stomach area. Traded the clown trigger in for a magnificent fox face! Next to build a canopy and use my screen that I got from Tom on top of it. Anyone know of a reef safe eel? I've always liked snowflakes. I've heard ribbon eels don't get big enough to eat fish or shrimp. Which I still question on that. lol!
Then I've seen some people with zebra morays. Also lost my black tribal blenny somewhere, might of been taken out by the clown trigger didn't see him when I moved. Plumbed everything and have the biopellet reactor running. Starts with the sicche 500gph or higher pump in the main sump to the biopellet reactor to a ball valve up to the reef octopus protein skimmer. Also picked a bicolor frogspawn frag about 5-7 heads for free from Jeremy at Hobbytown USA in St. Charles, while ordering some parts for a rc plane of mine. Anyone else on here fly rc planes? My friend that I usually fly with moved to FL recently and gave me about 10-12 planes. I have about 20 in my basement. Some ready to fly and others needing parts to get into the air again!
