Patience young grasshopper ,lol. Its going to get there eventually , remember the only fast things that happen in this hobby are bad things.

When the nitrite does dissappear it will be all at once. Instant light blue on the test kit.

still the same readings :(

but on the bright side i decided to rerun my plumbing pictures will come later
I'm going to run my GFO reactor of the return line, as well as my refugium section. the return line will also have a gate valve to use for water changes, with a union hook up for the hose straght to the kitchen sink

would running a skimmer and refugium interfere with eachother?

Give the nitrite some time to come down. It will come down very soon.

As for the skimmer and refugium, they won't interfere with one another. A lot of people think that a refugium will export all the nutrients from their aquariums, but it does so very minimally. The refugium should be thought of as a place to grow algae so that it doesn't grow in your DT, and also a safe haven for pods and critters to breed and provide natural foods to your fish in the DT.

Finally. Nitrite turned light blue. And nitrate went way up. Water change later today and I'll start transferring slowly.
Pictures to follow soon!

Everything is transferred over, so far no casualties
