Yeah bare bottom is awesome if you only care about maintenance, but I always felt something was missing. Any suggestions on the scape?Nice add with the sand. I get the idea with bare bottom, but I just think tank's seem incomplete without sand.
There's a water pipe above my tank that dips down right there that doesn't allow me to hang another halide. Working on a solutions so it will look the sameWhy that blue spot?

Lol problem is ive almost taken up the whole front to back depth with each pile. But hows this. The red tonga is holding up the blue rocks. What if I moved the right blue rock to one of the green areas. Then are you talking about the small zoa rock(yellow) or the other tonga thats holding up the zoa shelf? May be able to spin the middle stack a little. Think I need to spin the whole stack or just the giant shelf on top?Scape looks pretty good. I'd take the rock all the way on the left and move it forward a little so that pile looks like it's curved rather than just parallel to the front glass. Something seems a little off with the middle two stacks? Maybe combine them into one stack with the Tonga mixed in? I think things in threes are more pleasing to the eye. I believe they call it the rule of thirds in photography. Other than that, I'd angle one or more of the pile so they aren't all in a straight line. Just 10 or 15 degrees. It will give more depth. Hope that helps.
Lol I wouldn't ask if i couldnt handle the criticism. I'm horrible with scaping so all the criticism helps. After I took the pic I did move the zoa rock to that front corner on an angle. Middle was suppose to be an overhang, but that help isn't light. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the helpI think just move the zoa rock all the way to the left forward. The issue with the middle stack (to me) is that the shelf rock makes the stack look top heavy and a little unnatural.
Sorry, don't ask me for scape advice unless you really want it....because I'm picky. . I think scape is something that not a lot of people get right, but in the end, it's personal preference as to what's "right." If you really want to get anal with it, break big rocks into small pieces and glue them in the joints between the bigger rocks. This makes your piles look like one structure rather than a pile of rocks. Tons of work, but worth it. It's also harder to do with Tonga.
Well i used the Tonga so nothing would collect around the rocks since I didn't have sand. May take some pictures from different angles so show the full picture. I'd have to take all the rock out to get to most of the Tonga since it stretches all the way across the bottom.Looks lot better with the sand . Rock work i keep looking at and idk about it obviously just going by the pics kinda just looks like rock piles i know sometimes its just the pics hard to show 3d image with a 2d pic . Just looks like sps placement maybe hard . Since u mixing tonga and reg rock i usually dont use the tonga to support the rock i use the rocks as base and use the branch to stick out the rock if that makes sense gives u more natural look and more sps real estate . And maybe make two structures with a gap in the middle . Again jmo i know everything always look better in person specially when we r the worst at taking pics while others can make a pile of poop look like picasso
