Anyone get bored with the hobby sometimes?

With the summer grow out - i over fed my tank for ....2 months and couldnt control parameters and there is enough bubble algae to feed an army of Mithrax crabs. so ... im going to swap out my rock and sandbed, and restart. yeah, not conventional. but it will work. and i'll enjoy myself more instead of just dumping food in and hoping to grow more polyps than Jay.

I'm new to the reef hobby, so I'm still in that "honeymoon" stage, but I've been fishkeeping for almost 10 years. I know there have been plenty of times when I would get bored of it, and would just be like humph, i have to clean the tank, etc. But then people would come over, see the tank, and be like that's awesome, and I'd get excited again.

My first 5 gallon turned into a 12, and is currently turning into a 75 gallon reef, so I have a lot of new and exciting things coming.

The thing I've discovered with hobbies is you can't over do it. If you do too much, you get burned out, and then you get bored with it.
