Just realized I haven't updated this thread for a long, long time.... he is a current pic of the tank...

So, once the last bit of visible sand is covered, what happens next? Will the Zoas start fighting/competing? Will you have to "cull the herd"? Or will they settle in and play nice as a sweet kaleidoscope carpet???

They generally play nice... they might try to outcompete each other for space and light, but they get along for the most part. I will be fragging a lot of these colonies in the next few days hopefully.

Tank looks nice! I am rather envious of how your zoas have all grown in well together. Mine never seem to mix well. Some end up stretching like crazy and looking all goofy.
 
Looks awesome! What are you running for lighting on that tank? Still running the Coral Compulsion dimmable 120w fixture?
