Biocube Zoa Machine

I rinsed and added 20 lb of sand today. It looks like a good 3in to 3.5 in some places. I'm hoping to have a deep enough bed for the jawfish I want so bad.

Hey miller

How are you planning to cover the top of that rimless biocube ?.

Jaw fish would jump off at the slightest chance it gets

With the brightness of LEDs and the lid I have I doubt ill loose this fish. I'm hoping to include him soon so the jawfish establishes territory. Two clowns and a jawfish is it for now.

I have lots to update. Everythings moved over and looking good. My sps have lost color, but expected. I need a bit more light and a Skimmer running shortly. I'm thinking of getting a new IM skimmate Skimmer. Looks really nice.

I went to aquatica today and purchased a marinland c3 sump. It fit perfectly in the biocube stand. The origional design of the sump was kinda weird. It would have a waterfall and crap so I decided to do some modding. It's completly installed and running. I'm gonna have a fuge, but not quite sure if I can get sand in there. Ill atleast have Chaeto in soon.

I had great test results today, but my salinity rocketed up to .030. I have been lowering it and have my ato in place. The pump I chose was the hydor seltz L30 and its deffinetly overkill. It's turn down 60%. Im gonna run to aquatica tomorrow and pick up a Innovative Marine Skimmate Skimmer.

I plan to clean everything up and finish up some odds and ends. I'll update pictures very soon.

I picked up a beautiful Splendid Dottyback yesterday. Gorgeous fish with blue and yellow. It has opened up a bit more and is shooting from cave to cave. For some reason my YWG seems much more active. Ill be watching the SDB for aggression, but im thinking my clowns can handle it.

and i soo wish i got some of your zoas .. (well if you are selling any ) when i was at your place
